I’ve recently discovered that coffee, all by itself, without the mounds of sugar and cream I usually add…isn’t quite as bad as I thought it would be!  Wes and I are trying to cut out sugar, flour and dairy from our diet and I’ve found it particularly hard to do this with my tea and coffee.  Tea by itself isn’t bad at all but coffee…that was a tough one.  It took me awhile, but finally I can honestly say that I like black coffee!  Now it is my mission to test out the drip coffee and americano’s around town to find my favorite. 

Unfortunately the coffee I make at home is not very good by itself.  I may need to start buying different beans but have a hard time not just getting whatever is cheapest at Costco.  But if I brew it and don’t drink it, that’s just a waste anyway.

So, not earth shattering or particularly clever, but that is my post for today.  Plain old Coffee.  Try it.

  1. Ooh! I can’t say I’m a big fan of black coffee.. especially not the way my dad makes it. However, the french press thing has been slowly changing my mind. I had some the other morning, with ONLY cream in it, and I almost liked it! This is a big step for a latte queen. ;)
